This month we were able to speak with Silver Glover of Silver Signature Insurance Agency, LLC. Take a look below to find out more:
Tell us about your company and what you do?
Silver Signature Insurance Agency, LLC is a new independent agency that will be working under the franchise Goosehead Insurance. Goosehead is known for its great home and auto products with superior service.
I started this business during the pandemic because this is a time where people’s needs are changing, and I wanted to provide a service that is honest and valuable. Everyone needs insurance but during these times I wanted to be able give people the coverages at the rate they deserve.
How did you get started in your industry?
I was a marketing major in college. Right after I graduated, I applied to work at an insurance company because I loved their commercials and 15 years later, I am still in the industry.
What is something about your business that most people do not know?
I actually have access to a lot of different insurance companies and am able to shop them all to get you the best coverages for the best prices in Maryland. I can do this for VA, PA, and DC as well.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
I see my business being one of the top small business insurance agencies in the state. I plan to hire more staff and be able to support my local community.
Tell me about yourself?
I am a native of Philadelphia and a big Eagles fan! I have been a resident of Annapolis for 3 years now and absolutely love it. I received my master’s in business from Philadelphia University where I learned a lot but my true teacher in life was experience. I am a member of several organizations such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. and The Junior League of Baltimore. My mission in life is to work hard, educate people about insurance, and give back to the community.
Other than work, what are you passionate about?
Travel…. I love to travel! I have been to over 27 countries so far and counting. I also love to go camping. There is something about the outdoors that is so peaceful.
What types of activities or hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy camping, wineries, book clubs, bowling, and riding my peloton.
