Leadership at Prestige Development Services Inc.

In 2018, the Washington, DC area experienced the wettest year on record. For this year, the District has seen 14.74 inches of rain. This is 2.18 inches above normal and 3.5 inches more rain than at the same time last year. The total is the most to date since 17.87 inches in 2014. 1. Tell us about your company and what you do?

Prestige Development Services, Inc. (PDS)  was founded in 2008 in the Bronx. PDS is a woman-owned minority company that operates in two service lines—General Contracting and Environmental Remediation/Demolition. Our corporate office is in the Bronx and serves as the Environmental Group’s headquarters. The General Contracting startup office is located here at My Annapolis Office and services Federal Government projects on the East Coast.

2. How did you get started in your industry?

I started in the construction industry in 1978 when I joined the Air Force. I served ten years as a Contracts Specialist / Contracting Officer, soliciting base-level construction and service contracts. From there, I went to the other side of the fence and worked for a General Contractor. My Air Force experience allowed me to understand how both sides work and opened the door for employment.

3. Where do you see your business in 5 years?

My five-year business plan is to position the Prestige Development family as a multi-corporate entity and manage it from the beach with an umbrella in my glass while enjoying semi-retirement.

4. Tell me about yourself?

I’m married with three kids—two have graduated from college, and the youngest is going to be a senior in the 2020 school year. My wife is my rock—she manages everything except my job and keeps our house afloat. Thanks, Mrs. Lasure!

5. Other than work, what are you passionate about?

I love sports, traveling, and my dogs.

6. What types of activities or hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?

I really enjoy being outside and playing golf. Living in Annapolis, I, of course, also love fishing and boating.

7. Why did you choose My Annapolis Office and how has working here helped your business?

I chose My Annapolis Office because it allowed me to rent a startup office at a reasonable price and have the amenities of a large corporate office. This is my third startup for a corporate division with a headquarters out of state. I have tried the “work from home” plan, but there are too many interruptions at my house, so My Annapolis Office provides a quiet atmosphere to concentrate on business.
